MAAILMA LAAJENEE

Taaperot muuttivat tänään keittiöön hieman isompaan tilaan koska pentulaatikosta ollaan kömmitty ulos jo yli viikon ajan. Muutenkin oli tapahtumarikas päivä kun ruokavalio laajeni ja ensimmäisen kerran tutustuivat Barf:in makurikkaaseen maailmaan :-0

THE WORLD IS EXPANDING

The toddlers moved in to the kitchen today to a little bit bigger space as for over a week now they have been crawling out of the babybox. It has been an eventfull day as the menu was expanded to the flavourful world of Barf :-0

TIEDONHALUISET

Vajaa kaksi viikkoa ja tytöillä on silmät auenneet, pojilla ei. Tulee vaan mieleen johtuuko ilmiö siitä että me tytöt olemme tiedonhaluisia :-) ja pojat mieluummin sulkee silmänsä ;-) No oli miten oli, on kiva seurata miten luontoäiti toimii. Vapaana olisi vielä neljä ihanaa poikaa vailla hyvää kotia.

ENQUIRYING MINDS

Less than two weeks and the girls allready have their eyes open, boys not. Might that be that us girls have an enquirying mind ;-) and boys rather keep their eyes shut :-) How ever the case, it is fun to observe how mother nature operates. There are still four lovely boys without a good home.

AIKA RIENTÄÄ

Kahdeksikko on "jo" viikon vanhoja ja aika on mennyt hujauksessa. Pennut kasvavat kovaa vauhti, maitoa menee liiitroittain ja uni maistuu. Yritin ottaa perhepotretin, mutta "paikka" käsky ei vielä ole ihan hallussa :-) Kuvassa on meidän suurin poika, joka pitää huolen siitä että on paikalla kun ruoka-aika koittaa! Näitä ihmeitä jaksaa vaan ihastella, ei millään malttaisi mennä töihin, mutta siihen tahtiin kun äiti vetää ruokaa on pakko käydä hankkimassa lisää rahaa:-(

TIME FLIES BY

The eights are "allready" a week old and the time has flown by. The puppies are growing rapidly, milk is consumed by the gallons and sleeping is the next best thing. I tried to take a family potrait, but the "stay" command hasn`t quite sunken in yet :-) In the picture is our biggest boy, who definately is in place when it is feeding time! I can`t help but adoringly stare at these wonders. Work is a must at the moment, as mother eats like there is no tomorrow and somebody has to go and make some money:-(

NE OVAT TÄÄLLÄ!

Chupeta teki mestarin työn ja synnytti lauantai-sunnuntai välisenä yönä kahdeksan taaperoa (6+2). Ensimmäistä kertaa sain kokea luonnollisen syntymän ihmeen ja se oli upeaa!

Suuret kiitokset Eijalle avusta, olen velkaa sulle ;-)

THEY ARE HERE!

Chupeta did a marvellous job and gave birth to eight toddlers (6+2) saturday-sunday night. For the first time I had the pleasure of wittnessing a natural birth, which was amazing! A huge thanks to Eija, I owe you one ;-)

VIIMEISET HETKET

H-hetki koittaa pian ja Chupetalla on hieman tukala olla. Tässä vaiheessa tulee aina mieleen mitä on mennyt tekemään koiralleen, mutta toivottavasti äitiyden onni korvaa kaiken :-0 Vuorokausi 58 on huomenna, joten peukkuja pidetään pystyssä että maailmaan saapuu piakkoin terveitä pentuja!

FINAL COUNTDOWN

The big day is finally closing in and Chupeta feels somewhat uncomfortable. At this point you question what you have done to this little dog, but I hope the joy of motherhood compensates it all :-0 The 58th day is tomorrow, so we keep our fingers crossed that a bunch of healthy puppies will soon see the day light!

MESTEÑA

Tasan neljä vuotta sitten illalla kymmentä yli kahdeksan syntyi keittiömme lattialle Pequiñan ensimmäinen pentu, jonka viralliseksi nimeksi tuli Aftereight. Mesteña, jonka nimi tarkoittaa "kesyttämätön" on sekin nimensä veroinen. Koira ei luota kehenkään, taidan olla ainoa ketä se ei epäile. Tämäpä on suuri syy miksi en käytä Mesteñaa jalostukseen, puhumattakaan siitä että sen äidillä on kaihi. Koira on kiltti, leikkii Chupetan ja Pociton kanssa, mutta useimmiten viettää koti-iltaa omissa oloissaan tai sen lempipaikassa, sylissäni pää vasten kaulaani. Mesteñasta voisikin sanoa että se on "hajuton ja mauton" otus, mutta meille kovin rakas. Perinteistä ei tälläkään kertaa poiketa, vaan syntymäpäivien kunniaksi tarjolla on taas valtavat määrät jäätelöä :-) Mesteña ja me muut haluamme toivottaa sen siskolle ja viidelle veljelle Oikein Aurinkoista Syntymäpäivää!

MESTEÑA

Exactly four years ago at ten past eight, Pequiña gave birth to her firstborn on the kitchen floor. She was officially named "Aftereight" and we call her Mesteña. The name means "untamed" and once again this has proven true. Mesteña trusts no one, I guess I´m the only one she has no doubts about. This is a big reason why I don`t use her for breeding, not to mention the fackt that her mother has chataract. The dog is kind, plays with Chupeta and Pocito, but mostly spends her evenigs by herself or in my lap, her head against my neck. You could say that Mesteña is one of those "odorless and tasteless" creatures but we love her deeply. To keep up with traditions, this day will also be spent with loads and loads of ice-cream. Mesteña along with us, like to wish her sister and five brothers a Very Sunny Birthday!

VIISI VIIKKOA



On kulunut viisi viikkoa siitä kun käytiin astutusmatkalla Ruotsissa ja Chupetan vatsa pyöristyy päivä päivältä. Tulevan äidin nälkä on kova ja se onkin muuttanut pysyvästi keittiöön :-) Metsälenkit menevät reippaasti, mutta kun on mahdollisuus, niin kyllä uni maistuu. Pentulaatikko on Chupetan valtakunta, sinne ei ole kellään asiaa! Pidän kovasti peukkuja että kaikki menee tästä eteenpäin hyvin, sillä huonoja kokemuksia edellisistä pennutuksista on kertynyt jo tarpeeksi.



FIVE WEEKS



Five weeks has passed since we covered Chupeta in Sweden and her belly is getting bigger by the day. She is constantly hungry and as a matter of the fackt has moved in to the kitchen permanently :-) She takes long walks everyday as usual, but when able likes to sleep. Her domain is the puppybox and no one is allowed near it! I´m keeping my fingers crossed that from now on everything goes smoothly as I have had more than enough of bad experiences.
